The world headquarters of Torsion Mobile will be one of the stops on the inaugural Des Moines Startup Job Crawl on November 16. Sponsored by Startup Foundation Des Moines and Silicon Prairie News, the Startup Job Crawl is an opportunity for students, recent graduates and others to learn about job opportunities, internships and more from some of Iowa’s leading tech startups. Over a dozen firms are opening their doors for this event – way better than a boring old career fair!
If you’re thinking this is only for Comp Sci majors, you couldn’t be more mistaken. Torsion Mobile’s co-founders have non-traditional educational backgrounds – completely outside of the world of computer science. So artists, accounting and even philosophy majors are encouraged to sign up and stop in. Special bonus points for Swahili speakers and those who know the credit side from the debit side of a ledger. (We do like tech majors, too.)
A special treat will be a sneak peek at Torsion Mobile’s upcoming product, Mojaba. That’s worth the effort of getting on the bus right there. We’ll also be sharing details on new job and internship opportunities.
For all the information, please see our friends at Silicon Prairie News. We’ll look forward to seeing you all on November 16!
